Forget it.

June 20, 2006

Forget all your opinions. I see what a nice job you've done in writing them. (See, that was sarcasm, cool huh?) Hah, I'm just kidding, I'm not mad at you I didn't take much time to decide. I'm switching to blogger. Of course I won't be able to import my blog, but that's alright, I'll leave Swiftlab for you guys to look through, but I'll just post on my blogger one from now on. http://brendantang.wordpress.com

so confused

June 19, 2006

Yes, I know I just moved this blog to minimalirony.wordpress.com, and I know wordpress.com is a great service, but I'm having some second thoughts. On one hand, I like wordpress.com service. They're great about helping out with bugs, responding to technical problems, they have a great post editor, nice themes, and they add new features really often. On the other hand, I'm thinking maybe I should have gone back to blogger. Upsides: Blogger's made by Google. It let's you edit the style sheet of your blog's theme. That also means that you can edit the sidebar. don't get me wrong, widget's are great, and, a lot of them probably need more coding than I can do, but editing the code of the sidebar directly…. Tough choice. I really like blogger, and it's got alot on it's side, but you can't import a blog. Plus the interface is homier. And then again maybe I should've just stuck with SwiftLab, I mean, the  name wasn't too bad, and minimal irony… I just don't know. What do you think? Come on, just comment this time!

switched

June 18, 2006

I switched the URL of what used to be SwiftLab to minimal irony, and of course I imported all the posts. The problem, though, is that all the comments got all jumbled up and no longer know where they're supposed to be, so don't complain about your comment being in the wrong place…

theory

June 11, 2006

This is entirely fictional, it is a purely humorous thought that was spawned of my mind so don't take it seriously and make a fool out of yourself.

I have a theory that the entire world was created in some catastrophic event, explained in our minds by something like the blizzard of '78. There are aliens up there, sitting in their ships just watching us and toying with us. they control every single thing that's happened, and they've planted memories in us to explain what happened before the creation of the planet. The aliens planted something in  our brains to explain the irregular things that happened while everything was created, the planted memories, evidence of history for us to discover, and covered up the creation of the world with some natural disaster like the hurricanes.

freewebs

June 4, 2006

update: I apologize about my earlier statements. Freewebs, by definition, is not scamming. But I do however disagree with it's actions and I do not want to start a campaign against freewebs. I do not want you to do the same as I have done. The places I publicized my opinion were acceptable places, but I do not want anyone to get into trouble for doing the same in all the wrong places.

Ugh. Freewebs has announced that since most of the people using freewebs hosting have not linked back to freewebs like they were asked to, so in response they have left some options for the 'freewebers' to ponder and comment about. The choices are:

1) Users put text ads (like beginner users have) on their site. You get to choose where to put the ad, and choose the colors. This will be the size of a banner ad or skyscraper and will be in addition to the required link back to Freewebs (which can be a text link or an image of your choice).

2) Your site visitors get a full page ad every 10 hits, but no other ads are required

3) Users join panels and complete surveys once a week to help pay for their account

4) Users add the toolbar to the top of their sites

Remixizationatized

May 26, 2006

I did a remix of the Arctic Monkeys' When the Sun Goes Down, which, of course, I uploaded to imeem along with some other bad music I made.

So here it is

imeem

May 25, 2006

I'm testing out something called imeem, which is some sort of community site. It's like… I don't know. just check it out. www.imeem.com

I'm going to add my imeem RSS feed to the sidebar of this blog.

Harmony

May 20, 2006

Enigma is working on a new project, that hasn't even been released to the projects page yet. I'm not going to give away much, but it's going to be very simple, and alot of the content will be user-created. We're going to call it "Harmony" until it gets more publicized. Hope it stirs you up.

engadget readers have a good sense of humor.

May 14, 2006

I was just on Engadget.com looking for sominformation on the Nintendo DS Lite, when on one of the posts I saw these comments:

38. Any reason to not wait? Is there any advantage the current ds has over the lite?

40. I suppose it might hurt more if you threw it at someone.

gas boycot on july 4th weekend

May 7, 2006

I was watching the sunday morning show (I don't know why so don't ask) and the opinion section came on. It was about how the only way to get gas companies to stop raising the price of gas is to stop using it until they do. I don't believe that it's entirely the gas companies' fault, but I do believe that they need to be taught a lesson by us little people. So on July 4th weekend a gas boycot was suggested. And I'll try to get others to participate as well.
